About FontStyle

Our Mission

FontStyle was created to solve a widespread problem: generating clean, stylish text for social media bios and gaming tags without navigating bloated websites full of intrusive pop-ups, mandatory software downloads, or subscription paywalls. We built a fast, free, privacy-first web application that operates 100% inside your browser.

How the Font Transformation Engine Works

Unlike traditional desktop fonts (such as TTF or OTF files) which require software installation, FontStyle utilizes standard Unicode Character Transformation Maps. The Unicode Consortium allocates specific code point blocks for mathematical symbols, script alphabets, and regional indicators—such as the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400 to U+1D7FF).

When you type text into FontStyle, our lightweight JavaScript engine maps each standard ASCII letter directly to its corresponding Unicode counterpart—such as Mathematical Bold (A), Script (𝓐), Gothic Fraktur (𝔄), or Circled Bubble (Ⓐ). Because these symbols are part of global Unicode standards, they copy and paste seamlessly into any application that supports UTF-8 text formatting.

Privacy & Client-Side Execution

Your privacy is paramount. When you type or paste text into FontStyle, all character mapping occurs locally in your client's web browser using JavaScript. Your input text is never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers.
